Trouble began today within the Canadian eSports community.
This all began with a discussion regarding the netcode of Capcom's new game "Marvel vs Capcom Infinity" Purchase Here! between a host of the hugely successful "Weekly Replay" show and GTASF luminary Nagata Lock dos
This all began with a discussion regarding the netcode of Capcom's new game "Marvel vs Capcom Infinity" Purchase Here! between a host of the hugely successful "Weekly Replay" show and GTASF luminary Nagata Lock dos
As we see here , what began as a simple conversation regarding the netcode of "Marvel Vs Capcom Infinity" turned sour as "dmbrandin" challenged NL2@FFT6IX to a money match. A "money Match" for those new to the scene is a video game match where both players bid an amount of money, and the winner of this video game for children takes the money from the other.
As we can see Nagata makes the statement that he has been beating players for 17 years. Research shows that the game "Capcom vs SNK2" was released in 2001 so this may be closer to 16 years, accounting for how long it takes games to make it into Canada.
Things continue to escalate as other naysayers enter the fold
While opinions vary on the capitlization of the s in eSports, the staff at eSports Expose support the capitalization
Major Player GundamFury when not complaining about the netcode or conduct of players, can be seen complaining about the netcode of popular "Multiplayer Online Battle Arena" Smite by Hi-Rez (makers of Paladinz) studios
The other naysayer though, has a bit more reach, being a host of the afformentioned Weekly Replays.
Here he takes a personal shot at NagataLockII (shortened as NatLock from here on out) showing his disrespect for the Canadian "Fighting Game Community"(CFGC from now on)
Misters paper and gundamf continue to take personal shots at NatLock.
This represents a larger issue, as the #weeklyreplays show is produced by "World Gaming" a Canadian esports brand. They have run many successful and lucrative tournaments in the Toronto Area.
This current situation has had popular Canadian fighting game players on both sides of the fence in regards to this show
It is then called into question the designs World Gaming had in regards to Canada. Some think that World Gaming is attempting to use Canada as a foothold to step into the major esports market of "The World"
When this publication attempted to contact another host of #replayweekly they were not available.
Tired of the infighting, some members of the Canadian FGC spoke out.
Unfortuantely both of these individuals come from the world's toilet and were immediately ignored.
Absent from all this while away on holiday , we were able to get a statement from Hamilton Tournament Organizer Vince "RXS" Huihui
Where do we go from here? We here at esports expose can only assume this means the doom of the CFGC. As eSports are on the rise, players of Capcom games will be continually left in the dust, whether it be from poor development and support from the parent company, or intellectual inbreeding of its members. A relic from a forgotten time, the CFGC will fade away into a niche organization for those who don't care about the limelight, fame, or money that comes from attaching themselves to a major eSports organization such as World Gaming.
